The Wedding Rooms, located in Market Square, hoped to become the go-to place for brides and grooms-to-be to find out about local suppliers and plan their wedding in a fun and relaxed environment.

Bailey’s & Co., located in Home Farm Drive, was opened by sisters Stacey and Michala Bailey in March last year with the aim of making clients feel “empowered and confident”.

A “powerful and moving memorial” has returned for a third year, to honour the people who tragically lost their lives or were injured in road collisions across the county last year. Two poignant displays have been organised by Northamptonshire Police roads policing officer PC Emilie Bunkall as part of this year’s annual RoadPeace Challenge from Monday to Sunday (May 13 to 19).

There has been a “stark rise” in the number of vulnerable parents across the county, as a charity dedicated to helping families in need has seen a 41 percent increase in referrals so far this year. Baby Basics provides packs in moses baskets to give babies a safe place to sleep and are filled with essentials for a new mother and child aged up to three months old.

16-year-old girl sustains ‘minor injuries’ after being pushed over by large dog which attempted to bite her

A 16-year-old girl has thankfully only “sustained minor injuries” after she was approached by a large brown dog from behind, which pushed her over and attempted to bite her, say police. Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident took place near Cygnet Lake in Billing Brook Road, Northampton last Friday (May 3).
